CO-OP Comprehensive

This comprehensive workshop consists of CO-OP The Basics and CO- OP Consolidation and is for those who are interested in using the CO- OP Approach at a competent level.

This workshop is open to anyone. The aim of this workshop is to meet the goals of both The Basics and Consolidation courses, in succession, separated by a period of time to allow for the application of learning from The Basics course.

Participants will be able to explain the seven key features of the CO-OP Approach, do occupation-based, client-centred goal setting, carry out dynamic performance analysis (DPA), identify potential strategies, frame intervention sessions using cognitive strategies (GPDC), apply guided discovery, incorporate basic enabling principles into their sessions, and apply CO-OP in an evidence-based manner all at a competent level. A certificate of attendance is provided.

After the successful completion of the CO-OP Comprehensive workshop, you may indicate that you have completed this training. However, it's important to note that this does not grant the use of title of “CO-OP Therapist”, or “Certified in the CO-OP Approach” or “Certified CO-OP Trainer”. These stated titles are reserved for individuals who have completed the necessary certification requirements * as outlined by International Cognitive Approaches Network (ICAN).

* Certified in the CO-OP Approach: Individuals who have successfully completed the ICAN CO-OP Approach Certification Course may identify themselves as "Certified in the CO-OP Approach."

**Certified CO-OP Instructor: Those who have successfully completed the ICAN CO-OP Instructor Certification Course may identify themselves as "Certified CO-OP Instructor."
